Day 2 of the new walk

Day 2 is over and we're watching the hockey game on TV.  If only someone would come over, come down the almost finished walk and cook dinner. 

This morning we finished laying out the big pavers.

At that point we were still fine.  No arguments, smashed fingers or anything bad.  The walk looked better but still wasn't quite right.  The pavers are too big in some ways and too small in others so we decided to make parts of the walk double wide and add some cement stones we saw at the hardware store here and there along the way.



Walk with the stones adding additional width which makes all the difference.

Day 3 will be finishing the steps, getting more small blocks and painting the big blocks gray so they will blend in more with the rest of the walk.

And by the way, all the stones I brought over from across the street?  Nope.  Not being used in the walk so I guess the wall at the end of the driveway will grow a little higher which is fine.
