The front walk is finished for the summer, the bench is in and the birds have come out so the front of the house is just waiting for the flowers to grow and bloom.
Now for the back of the house. What we're doing here is leveling the pavers and moving them closer together. Nothing major-yet.
So this is the first round of pavers moved for the back of the house.
I'm actually kind of glad that it's going to rain tomorrow and Sunday. The rain will give us time to decide what else we want to do. Then I'll go to work for 3 days and Bob can plan it all.
I did manage to get the salad garden in . Spinach, lettuce, kale and a salad mix in one of the raised beds.
I really did have all the tools (minus the string to make sure the rows were straight, I mean come on) to make this a raised bed for the books.
I had the rows all laid out exactly 12" apart, 1/4 inch deep with markers for each row and then I decided that I would put in more rows since I had seeds left over. I lost track of what was where and how many rows of what I planted. Some members of the household were a tad dismayed with the lack of precision shown. So, we will be surprised and I kind of figure that we will be able to tell kale from lettuce, but then again, maybe not. Carrots, beets and tomatoes go in the end of May when the threat of frost is over-I hope.
Ewe sure are "paving" the way
